Yes, exactly! I'm not a teacher, but I've felt this acutely as a parent. Very real structural and societal problems are treated as individual problems. If we can't engage in self-care on our own time, it's our fault. If we can't "handle" our jobs, it's our fault. The responsibility and blame lie entirely on our shoulders as individuals, while we ignore glaring inequities, the lack of access to mental health resources, and the huge gaps in our social safety net.
