Yes, absolutely -- something I didn't touch on here but is definitely worth noting is the widening gap between tech & "white collar" jobs and the frontline working class jobs. Teaching and healthcare are two other fields that have some remote options but that still mostly require in-person interaction. My partner (a hand therapist) and my sister (a teacher) had such different experiences of the pandemic since for most of it they were still commuting and interacting with other humans. Certainly more stressful on one hand, but I think they felt less isolated, too. I honestly still don't know what I think of the whole remote revolution, but I do hope we get out of the honeymoon phase and start to critically examine all the implications. Thanks for reading!
