YES! A few days ago, I became a co-owner of the digital marketing agency where I've worked for the last 3.5 years. I just posted a story on Medium about how ownership changes EVERYTHING, and how wildly insane it is that we allow a system in which elite CEOs and shareholders make obscene profits off our labor. As an employee of a worker-owned cooperative, I'm part of 0.000000006% American workers who have the opportunity to own a share of my company simply because I work there. This ownership model needs to be taught in every business school, and yet hippie grocery stores aside (not knocking hippie groceries though!), most Americans have no idea what a worker-owned cooperative is.
