Yep, as they say, "Pretty don't last long..." I appreciate being somewhat pretty, but I'm thankful I was never gorgeous. I do think you're right that young women who know how to draw from other assets, like their brains, will be ok in the long run. (And of course, I hope this will be the case for my daughter!) I also think it's easier to focus on developing those assets when the whole world isn't goggling at you...
