What Suzanne said! This story is actually more for and about the so-called "involved dads," not the absentee dads. My husband's father never showed up to his school events because he lived in another state and called him once a year on Christmas (if he remembered). This is also a significant social problem and a worthy topic of discussion, just not the focus on this particular story.
