Persistent gender inequities in the home, which come into far sharper focus after having kids, and the realities of modern motherhood are completely glossed over and often vehemently denied. In fact, I started writing on Medium to shout these typically ignored or whispered truths from the rooftops. Of course, it took me 10 years to find the bandwidth, but now that my kids can shower and dress themselves, I can manage to eek out 30 minutes a day!
