This is so true, and it's why even so-called "woke" white people only seem to care about racism in fits and starts. The main reason I can't ignore racial inequities is because they directly impact my husband and multiracial children. It's so important for white people to actively ask questions and to listen to the lived experiences of our Black compatriots. The more we ask, listen, and understand, the less we can ignore.
