The story was that her husband was thinking, "My time is more valuable than hers." And what I'm saying is that is actually exactly what he thinks, even if on a subconscious level, because that's what he's been taught to think. And no, he's not a monster, but also we need to be honest about the patterns of thought that both men and women have internalized through observing their own parents and through living in a society where care/household work is either underpaid or unpaid. Expecting us to essentially deconstruct the patriarchy in our own homes with four phrases is nothing short of ridiculous.
