That was my initial hypothesis, but as I delved in more, it doesn't necessarily play out in the research (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S235282732200310X). Black people overall report the highest levels of social isolation, a trend that is reflected in my own husband's personal experience. That's not to say middle-class white mothers aren't isolated, but it seems difficult to "prove" that we're any more isolated than other demographic groups.
