When women, and particularly mothers, essentially served as our country's social safety net during COVID, no one stepped up to help. No one cared. To see my inbox suddenly flooded with emails from companies about honoring supermoms (a term I can't stand -- I didn't sign up to be a supermom, just a mom, thank you!) -- ugh, it all kind of made me want to vomit. How many of these companies offered childcare subsidies during COVID? How many allowed employees to work part-time or benefit from the FFCRA? How many promoted women to top leadership positions? How many closed the gender wage gap? That's how you can honor us. You can keep your f&^*ing flowers.
