Thank you for reading! You ask a great question and of course, it's definitely easier said than done. I recently wrote on Medium about becoming a co-owner at the worker-owned co-op where I work, and I believe that if we can transition more companies to this model and put more decision-making power in the hands of workers, that would be a huge step forward. I'm very much hoping my company can start exploring this transition in 2022. I'm also glad to see that some larger companies, like Kickstarter, are leading by example and hope that more follow suit. On the bright side, there's so much great research emerging about the benefits of working less -- but of course, it will take a huge and concerted effort to enact a shorter work week at scale.
