Oh my goodness, I can't imagine how scary that must have been! For me, one of many unexpected parts of parenting was how scary & threatening the world suddenly seemed. I even had to stop consuming any news for a time. The "mama bear" instinct is real, and the thought of anything happening to our littles is simply unbearable!
