I've long said that not wanting children is the best reason not to have them. I think it's especially awesome when women can separate out their own desires from the socialized expectations that are dumped on us from a young age. And I hate that you and so many other women are often second-guessed. I'm probably somewhere in the middle of the continuum. Now that I have two kids, I can't imagine unhaving them. But I sometimes imagine an alternate life as the solitude-seeking writer I've also always been.
