It's so hard for me, too. And probably the thing I hated more than anything else on the planet was specifically asking for "help" from my husband. I struggle with asking for help from my so-called "village" but I don't resent it. In fact, now that I'm doing so much solo parenting, I've gotten much better at asking people outside my home for help and I don't quietly seethe for having to ask in the first place.
