I love the concept of potlucks but have not yet had any luck in getting something regular going that I can count on people attending. The beauty of church was that it was at least one person's full-time job to tend to the community, and I didn't have to do the heavy lifting of organizing anything. I've hosted a block party, an annual pumpkin carving party and a weekly women's group but it's hard to get anything to stick.
