I had the same thought when a (male) Medium member commented on a recent story of mine that the patriarchy is a myth. It's not surprising to me that he doesn't see or feel the patriarchy -- it's not hurting him. If he lived for a week as woman, I'm sure the patriarchy -- and all the associated misogyny -- would "magically" materialize!
