I do hope it's partially a generational thing. I also think a lot of men simply don't see so much of the labor their wives do. Chores like cleaning and cooking are very visible but there is a whole lot more that goes into managing a home -- coordinating childcare, making appointments, filling out paperwork, etc. -- that can easily go unnoticed and can be harder to divvy up. It's absolutely possible to be more equitable, but it starts with the recognition that this so-called "invisible" labor exists and must be shared. But you give me hope for coming generations!
