I definitely try to focus on that. It’s important to be resourceful and to model that for my children. In fact I’m setting a goal for myself for 2022 to only buy things (food aside though will try as much as I can there too) that are used or locally made. I think where I struggle is that we’re past the point where consumer behavior can move the needle on climate change. Again it’s important, but we need it alongside action from our business leaders and politicians. A story I wrote last week about worker-owned cooperatives speaks to some potential solutions, as does another story about the need for all Americans to work less so we can focus on building climate resiliency.
