I believe the scientific method has merit, but I don't believe it's the objective holy grail many make it out to be. Science is constantly evolving and disproving formerly accepted truths. A lot depends on who is doing the observing, what perspective they bring to their hypothesis, and how the test is set up. Luckily we have many curious scientists who are willing to keep testing and tinkering. Unluckily, the experiences and perspectives that women and people of color could bring to scientific observations and testing remain largely untapped.
