I appreciate your good luck wishes. We have tried to the best of our ability to lead by example and hope that our examples have had (or will have) some positive impact. I am certainly not looking to blame anyone in particular for our situation, I am simply trying to make sense of it and identify social forces that are negatively affecting us all. As for the term "white chauvinist," it is a term that Proud Boys, including my stepson, often use to describe themselves (along with Western chauvinist) and it refers to a belief that white people are superior to nonwhite people. It's a label he uses, not one I've decided to impose on him.
