I agree that in the current reality, being a male stay-at-home parent presents unique challenges. My partner didn't feel he had the same network to draw from as the stay-at-home moms he encountered. I also think that his feeling undervalued and unseen is an experience shared by many, many mothers (myself included). For him, it really shone a spotlight on how much our society trivializes both the paid and unpaid care work that women typically do.
