I agree, I'm very glad I wasn't funneled into a life of homemaking and financial dependence. I just wish we could have demanded a working world that granted us financial autonomy while also allowing us the time for the important work of caregiving. I'm advocating for a 4-day workweek at full pay at my job for this very reason!
