For every challenge I face as a woman, I know my daughter will face that many more as a biracial woman who presents as Black. And my 8yo son is already nearing an age when he’s more likely to be perceived as a threat than a child. Thank you for all this. I’m listening, and it’s my goal to motivate more white women to lean into their discomfort without retreating to safety when things get hard.
