Both my kids were the only brown kids at their daycares, and I had similar concerns. I’m grateful that our public elementary school is much more diverse, though it’s still working on being inclusive. It sounds like your son has a loving stable family, which will go a long way as he confronts these thorny racial issues throughout his life!
